If players participating in the upcoming NFL Combine had to heed the advice of one individual, Saquon Barkley might be that person.
Barkley had an outstanding rookie campaign with the New York Giants in 2018, rushing for 1,307 yards and 11 touchdowns and also accounting for 721 receiving yards and four touchdown catches. He was a Pro Bowl selection and was the Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Now, the former Penn State star is handing out some advice for this year’s NFL Combine participants. Barkley sent out a tweet, telling players to take advantage of the opportunity they have ahead of them.
“There’s gonna be people at the combine that can help where u get picked. There are gonna be people who don’t get invited to the combine that will have a heck of a year,” Barkley wrote. “At the end of the day take care of the chance you get and take advantage of what you got and compete and you’ll see.”

Some wise words from the Giants running back.
Barkley was selected by New York with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. He took advantage of every opportunity and it paid off with a great start to his professional career.
Future NFL stars would be wise to favorite that tweet and take his message to heart.
