NFL suspends Randy Gregory indefinitely for violating substance abuse policy

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory has been suspended once again by the NFL.
On Tuesday, Gregory was suspended indefinitely for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He also violated the terms of his conditional reinstatement, according to NFL.com. This is the fourth time the defensive end has been suspended since entering the league in 2015.
Gregory was suspended for the entire 2017 season and was suspended twice for a total of 14 games during the 2016 campaign. The 2018 season marked his first full season in the NFL. He appeared in 14 games, making 25 tackles and six sacks.
All of Gregory’s suspensions have involved a violation of the league’s substance abuse policy. Since coming into the NFL, Gregory has been suspended for more games (30) than he’s played in (28).
Gregory was selected in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Cowboys. He was selected No. 60 overall. He played his college football at Nebraska.
