Jim Harbaugh has reportedly added another analyst to his staff at Michigan.

ESPN’s Field Yates reported on Thursday that former New Orleans Saints special teams coordinator Bradford Banta was hired to be an analyst at Michigan. Harbaugh and Banta were teammates from 1994-97, when both played for the Indianapolis Colts.

Banta has spent most of his coaching career in the NFL. He was an assistant special teams coach from 2008-11 with the Detroit Lions before moving into an assistant linebackers coaching role with the franchise from 2012-13. From 2014-16 he was an assistant special teams coach with the Washington Redskins before joining the Saints in 2017.

Banta’s only experience at the college level came in 2007, when he was the tight ends coach at Chattanooga.
