Despite being named the B1G Defensive Back of the Year, there were concerns regarding Iowa’s Amani Hooker entering the NFL Draft. Most notably, some wondered if he was athletic enough to make it at the professional level.
He quieted some of those critics while in Indianapolis at the NFL Combine.
Hooker ranked in the top five among safeties in three different drills. He posted the second-best time in the three-cone drill (6.81), fourth in the short shuttle (4.10), and fifth in the vertical jump (37).
