With so many quality playmakers returning to the college football field in 2019, it’s hard to separate which guys are worthy of being considered the most electrifying in the sport. But 247Sports recently provided the names of 10 players who fit that description, two of which hail from the B1G.
Purdue wide receiver Rondale Moore and Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins were both mentioned among the 10 names on 247Sports’ list. It’s hard to argue against either of those players.
Moore was the B1G’s leading receiver in 2018, totaling 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Boilermakers as a true freshman. In his first collegiate game, he registered 313 all-purpose, setting a program record.
His 114 receptions led all of college football last fall.
Dobbins will now be the primary ball carrier for Ohio State with Mike Weber’s departure. The running back has recorded 1,000-yard seasons in each of the last two seasons. He’s also accounted for 20 total touchdowns.
He rushed for a career-high 203 yards against Maryland last season.
Both Moore and Dobbins are capable of turning short gains into game-changing plays, and both have demonstrated that ability multiple times throughout their brief careers. They are both players everyone is looking forward to watching again in 2019 — except when it’s your favorite team they’re up against.
