WATCH: Shea Patterson surprises fan in the hospital following car accident

As good of a quarterback as Michigan’s Shea Patterson is, he’s an even better person.
Jacob Bomia is a student at Rossford (Ohio) High School who was recently involved in a horrific car accident that left him hospitalized. He was rescued from his burning vehicle by a good samaritan and says he feels lucky to be alive.
After hearing of the accident, Rossford Mayor Neil MacKinnon set up a special surprise for Bomia, a lifelong Michigan fan.
MacKinnon told Bomia that he had set up a phone call with Patterson. But instead, the Michigan quarterback walked through the door and spent some time with Bomia, even autographing some footballs and a Michigan helmet.

In addition to the visit, Patterson also promised Bomia that he could attend any game in the Big House next season as the quarterback’s guest. Bomia is hoping to attend the Ohio State-Michigan game.
