Three B1G stars have earned All-America honors from Sporting News and USBWA.

Michigan State’s Cassius Winston was the lone first-team All-American from the B1G. He was named to the team by both Sporting News and USBWA. Winston was also the B1G Player of the Year.

Winston averaged 18.9 points, 7.6 assists  and shot over 47 percent from the floor this season, leading Michigan State to a B1G regular season and tournament title.

Wisconsin forward Ethan Happ was a second-team All-American selection by both Sporting News and USBWA. Happ averaged a double-double for the Badgers, posting 17.5 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. He was also the team’s leading assist man with 4.6 assists.

Purdue guard Carsen Edwards was a second-team All-American by USBWA and a third-team selection by Sporting News. Edwards was the leading scorer in the conference, averaging 23 points per game.

Bruno Fernando of Maryland was an honorable mention by Sporting News. Fernando also averaged a double-double with 13.7 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.

All four players were first-team All-B1G selections at the end o the regular season.
