The B1G already broke one record entering the postseason, and now its set another during the NCAA Tournament.

Eight B1G teams earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament this March, setting a new record for the conference. After the first round of the tournament, seven teams have advanced to the Round of 32, the most in league history.

Not a bad start to the postseason.

The seven B1G teams to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament were Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State and Purdue. Wisconsin was the only conference team to lose in the opening round.

While there will likely be multiple B1G teams that reach the Sweet 16, the league will have at least one team playing the second weekend guaranteed. Minnesota and Michigan State going head to head on Saturday solidifies at least one Sweet 16 spot.
