Penn State’s Beaver Stadium is commonly revered as one of the top college football venues in the B1G, and across the country. But now, according to recent online polls, it’s one of the best four stadiums in the country.
This year, For The Win’s annual “Bracket Madness” featured the 32 best venues in all of sports. Beaver Stadium barely made the cut, but now, it’s in the Final Four along with some other tremendous sites.
Along with Beaver Stadium, the other three venues are Wrigley Field (Chicago Cubs), Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta Falcons) and Phog Allen Fieldhouse (Kansas Jayhawks basketball). That’s pretty elite company.
Stadiums and arenas advance to the next round via fan vote, meaning people around the country view those four venues in the highest light. Beaver Stadium’s next challenge in “Bracket Madness” is Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Penn State has been known has one of the best campuses for college football with some of the best and most passionate fans in the sport. That undoubtedly helped Beaver Stadium reach this level.
