Michigan State has found its point guard of the future.
On Tuesday night, 5-foot-10 guard Jalen Terry announced via Twitter that he was committing to Michigan State. Terry, a member of the 2020 recruiting class, shared a graphic of himself wearing a Spartans uniform along with the hashtag #SpartanDawg.
Terry’s announcement comes just a few days after Michigan State defeated Duke to earn a trip to the Final Four. It’s the eighth time the Spartans have reached college basketball’s pinnacle under Tom Izzo.

A native of Mount Morris, Mich., Terry is a four-star point guard and is considered the No. 1 player out of Michigan, per 247Sports. He’s also ranked as the No. 16 point guard and the No. 102 overall prospect in the class.
Terry had five other offers aside from Michigan State: Iowa State, Butler, DePaul, Iowa and Mississippi State.
Terry is the first player to commit to Michigan State’s 2020 recruiting class.
