Scott Frost is bringing another incredible talent to Lincoln.
On Wednesday afternoon, four-star wide receiver Zavier Betts announced via Twitter that he was committing to Nebraska. The 2020 prospect is considered to be one of the top receivers — and overall players — in the cycle.
“I would like to thank the coaching staff at Nebraska [Coach Frost and Coach Walters] and company for the experience they have given me to help me decide that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Nebraska,” Betts wrote on Twitter.

Landing Betts is a huge in-state get for Frost and Co. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver is ranked as the top player out of Nebraska and is listed as the No. 20 prospect at his position, per 247Sports. He’s also ranked as one of the top 100 athletes in the 2020 class.
In addition to Nebraska, Betts had offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota and South Dakota State. He becomes just the second player to commit to the Huskers’ 2020 class.
Dual-threat quarterback Logan Smothers is the other prospect to commit to Nebraska. The Huskers currently own the No. 9-ranked recruiting class in the B1G and 43rd nationally.
