This weekend, Michigan State invaded Gopher country as the Spartans headed to Minneapolis for Saturday’s Final Four matchup against Texas Tech. And, like a good host, Minnesota head football coach P.J. Fleck greeted the B1G champs with a gift.

Fleck signed an official Minnesota oar, welcoming Tom Izzo and the Spartans to Minneapolis. Fleck, of course, has made the phrase “Row the Boat” popular throughout his coaching career.

“Coach Izzo & Spartans, Welcome to Minny! R.T.B!” Fleck wrote on the oar. He also signed the oar.

Even B1G football coaches are pulling for the conference to do well in the basketball postseason.

While Michigan State is representing the B1G in Minneapolis, it was the Spartans who knocked out the Golden Gophers in the second round of the NCAA Tournament just a few weeks ago. But it seems that all has been forgiven and Fleck is showing his support for Izzo and Co.
