Indiana has announced some schedule changes for its future football schedules.

The Hoosiers have made some adjustments to the 2023 and 2024 schedules, replacing a few previously scheduled opponents and shifting game dates. Two of those changes come in 2023.

Indiana has replaced a 2023 home game against UMass with a home game against FCS foe Indiana State. That game will be played in Bloomington on Sept. 9. A few weeks later, the Hoosiers will host  Akron, replacing a game with Charlotte. That game will be played on Sept. 23 at Memorial Stadium.

A few dates shifted for the 2024 schedule, as well. Indiana’s home game against Charlotte has been moved up from to Sept. 21. The Hoosiers’ road game against Rutgers has been pushed back to Sept. 28.

The Hoosiers have played Akron three times, winning all three meetings. The last matchup with the Zips came in 2010, with IU posting a 35-20 win. Indiana has not yet played Charlotte.
