The Kansas City Chiefs fan who shined a green laser pointer at Tom Brady during the AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium is facing some harsh punishment, according to a report from MLive.com.

Dwyan Morgan, the 64-year-old Chiefs fan who shined the laser light in Brady’s face in the fourth quarter of the game has been cited and faces a $1,000 fine or up to a year in jail for his actions. He’s also received a lifetime ban from Arrowhead Stadium.

Morgan shined the light on Brady’s face in the fourth quarter of the AFC Championship game between the Patriots and Chiefs. New England went on to defeat Kansas City 37-31 in overtime and then beat the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl.

It was the sixth Super Bowl victory for Brady.

So, not only did the laser pointer fail to affect Brady at Arrowhead Stadium, Morgan will not be permitted to watch his favorite team live again and faces a hefty legal fine or jail time.

Probably wasn’t worth it.
