Garrett Wilson brought a lot of hype with him to Columbus, and on Saturday afternoon he showed off exactly why everyone is so excited about his future.
One of the highest-rated prospects in the 2019 recruiting class, Wilson made a tremendous catch in the second quarter of Ohio State’s spring game. He high-pointed a great pass from Matthew Baldwin, leaping over the defender and hauling in the ball for a touchdown.
It was the highlight of the first half.

Wilson was the first true freshman this season to lose his black stripe during spring practice. And with those kind of catches, it’s easy to see why.
Transitioning from the high school level to the college game can take some time, but it looks like Wilson is poised to make an immediate impact at receiver for the Buckeyes.s
