Nebraska fans show up at Memorial Stadium in masses for spring game

In case you’re new to college football, Nebraska has one of the most loyal and passionate fan bases in the sport. That was one full display again on Saturday afternoon.
The Huskers hosted their annual spring game on Saturday, giving fans the opportunity to get a initial look at the 2019 squad. Just like a regular college football Saturday at Memorial Stadium, fans showed up in masses.
According to Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald, the attendance figure for Saturday’s spring game was 85,946. That will be one of the highest totals for any team this spring, and will likely be the best turnout in the B1G.

Nebraska fans never disappoint when they get the chance to see their team on the field.
The Sea of Red usually has a high turnout for spring games and still owns a home game sellout streak that extends over 50 years. Head coach Scott Frost wanted to put on a show for such a great fan base.

Nebraska is coming off a 4-8 campaign but is expected to be a top 25 team next fall. Adrian Martinez is an early Heisman Trophy candidate, as well.
