Scoring a touchdown is always a special moment. It doesn’t matter if it happens in a regular season game, a scrimmage or a spring game, there’s always that feeling of gratification.
That was especially true in Happy Valley on Saturday afternoon. During Penn State’s spring game, an 11-person team of athletes from the Special Olympics worked together to reach the end zone in front of a large crowd at Beaver Stadium.
The Special Olympics athletes drafted Trace McSorley to be the quarterback, and the Nittany Lion legend led his team down the field at Beaver Stadium to the end zone one final time. And this was a really memorable moment.
