It’s been a pretty good weekend on the recruiting trail for Penn State.

On Saturday, while the Nittany Lions were on the field at Beaver Stadium for the annual spring game, two major prospects pledged to James Franklin and Co. It was a huge boost to Penn State’s 2020 recruiting class.

Four-star defensive tackle Cole Brevard and three-star offensive guard R.J. Adams both committed to Penn State over the weekend, each making an announcement through Twitter. Washington announced his commitment first, followed by Brevard.

Brevard is ranked as the No. 1 player out of the state of Indiana and is listed as the 20th-best defensive tackle in the 2020 class. Overall, Brevard is hovering around the top 200 prospects, per 247Sports.

Adams, a Virginia native, comes in as one of the top 500 players in the 2020 class and is the No. 21 offensive guard in the cycle.

Penn State has enjoyed plenty of success on the recruiting trail early in the cycle. Already, the Nittany Lions have eight commitments and rank seventh nationally and second in the B1G.
