After he was arrested early on Saturday morning for OVI, J.T. Barrett was suspended by Ohio State for next week’s game against Minnesota.

Ohio State confirmed the report that Eleven Warriors came out with early on Saturday morning. Cardale Jones will get the start in Barrett’s place.

Barrett was arrested for driving a motor vehicle while impaired. He blew slightly over Ohio’s legal blood alcohol concentration limit of .08. According to Eleven Warriors, Barrett was released following the arrest and driven home by Jones.

Jones started the first seven games of the season for the Buckeyes but was replaced by Barrett last week against Rutgers. Ohio State put together its highest offensive output of the season.

Anything beyond the Nov. 7 showdown against Minnesota has yet to be determined.
