There may not be a more fitting team to draft former Michigan linebacker Devin Bush.
Pittsburgh made a trade with Denver to move up to the No. 10 spot to draft Bush, who was the B1G Defensive Player of the Year last season. He’s been listed as one of the top linebackers in the 2019 draft class with an incredibly high ceiling.
The Steelers believed Bush was too good to pass up.
“It’s just so special, it’s hard to describe in words,” Bush said after being drated. “I just can’t wait to be a Steeler.”
Bush finished the 2018 season with 79 tackles, nine for loss and five sacks. He also recorded six pass break-ups on the year.
During his career at Michigan, Bush earned a reputation as one of the best linebackers in the B1G and was able to make plays all over the field. He’s got great speed and a tremendous nose for the football, never giving up on a snap.
Considering the history of Pittsburgh’s stout defense, Bush already seems like a good fit for the Steelers.
