Better late than never.
Penn State safety Nick Scott waited a little longer than he hoped to hear his name called at the NFL Draft, but he finally got the call in the seventh round. The Los Angeles Rams selected Scott with the 243rd pick on Saturday afternoon, becoming the sixth Nittany Lion to be drafted this year.
Scott entered the 2018 season at Penn State having seen plenty of playing time but had just two career starts. Last fall, the safety started in 12 games for the Nittany Lions and took advantage of his opportunity.
In 2018, Scott ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 65 and was tied for the most interceptions with three. He also recorded one sack and blocked a kick in his final season in Happy Valley.
Scott was an All-B1G honorable mention at the end of the season.
Now, Scott will head to Los Angeles to try an carve out a spot on the roster with the NFC champions.
