B1G produces 40 NFL Draft picks, Ohio State leads the way with nine selections

It went by in the blink of an eye.

Over the weekend, 40 B1G players heard their names called in Nashville at the NFL Draft, as their dreams became a reality. Seven of those players were taken in the first round on Thursday night and nine more followed on Friday night in Round 2 and Round 3.

Saturday, 24 more players from the conference received phone calls from NFL teams. It was another solid showing for the conference at the draft. The 40 draft selections were produced by 12 B1G programs. The only two schools that didn’t have a player drafted this year were Purdue and Nebraska.

Ohio State led the way with nine draft picks, followed by Penn State with six and Michigan with five. Here’s a full recap of the B1G’s selections from the 2019 NFL Draft by school:
