With the addition of the Boston Bowl, a record 43 bowl games will be played in the 2020 season, counting the College Football Playoff semifinal games and national championship. That means 84 teams — or 65 percent — of the 130 FBS programs will play in the postseason beginning in 2020.
Fenway Park will be the third Major League Baseball park to host a bowl game. Yankee Stadium is the site of the Pinstripe Bowl and Arizona’s Chase Field is home to the Cheez-It Bowl.
The ACC will send teams to two of those three bowl games — the Pinstripe Bowl and the Boston Bowl.
