Rivalries are what make college football so great, and some of the best in the sport include the service academies. Like Ohio State-Michigan or Auburn-Alabama, the rivalries between Army, Navy and Air Force never really take a break.
Even when one of those teams is on a visit to the White House.
On Monday, the Army football team made a visit to the White House, where President Donald Trump presented the Black Knights with the Commander-in-Chief’s trophy. Army earned the three-pronged award after going 2-0 against the other service academies, beating Air Force 17-14 and Navy 17-10.
During the presentation, head coach Jeff Monken couldn’t help but take a swipe at Air Force. As President Trump was talking about how tough the Falcons were, and looked back at Monken, the head coach said “Not that tough.”
That response received a laugh from the president. Below is the video:
President Trump: "Air Force is tough. They've always been tough, coach."
Army coach Jeff Monken: "Not that tough."

Monken has plenty of room to talk. Over the last two years, Army has posted a 21-5 record and finished 11-2 last season. The Black Knights are 4-0 against Air Force and Navy each of the last two years.
We all knew the Army-Navy rivalry was one of the biggest in college football. But the Black Knights aren’t too fond of Air Force, either.
