Penn State hasn’t played a game of the 2019 season yet, but the football program has already set a date for its next spring game.
On Friday afternoon, Penn State announced that the 2020 spring game will be held on Saturday, April 18. This past season, the Nittany Lions held their annual Blue-White Game on Saturday, April 13.
While most football programs tend to wait until the end of the football season — sometimes much later — to make a decision on a spring game date, Penn State has typically been well ahead of the curve. The 2020 season will be no different.

Penn State is coming off a 9-4 campaign in 2018 and is hoping to be a contender in the B1G East again. The Nittany Lions face some serious challenges, as several key players either entered the NFL Draft, graduated or decided to transfer.
The Nittany Lions will open the 2019 season on Saturday, Aug. 31 against Idaho at Beaver Stadium.
