June is one of the busiest months on the calendar in terms of recruiting, but those 30 days have passed and we’ve entered July. With several key players committing last month, there’s been quite the change in the recruiting rankings.
Some teams were more active than others and there are still plenty of big-time recruits that have yet to give their verbal pledge. And, of course, there will still be several players who will flip schools in the coming months. It always happens.
It’s still interesting to take a look at where each team stands after the busiest recruiting month on the calendar. Three B1G teams rank in the top 10, and two more crack the top 25.
Here’s a full look at where each team’s recruiting class ranks, both in the B1G and nationally (rankings from 247Sports):
- Ohio State (No. 4)
- Michigan (No. 6)
- Penn State (No. 10)
- Iowa (No. 19)
- Minnesota (No. 22)
- Northwestern (No. 28)
- Wisconsin (No. 31)
- Maryland (No. 35)
- Michigan State (No. 41)
- Purdue (No. 49)
- Indiana (No. 56)
- Nebraska (No. 68)
- Rutgers (No. 76)
- Illinois (No. 98)
There’s still more than five months left until the Early Signing Period. These rankings will change a hundred times before it’s finalized. We’ll see which teams make the biggest climbs and experienced the most dramatic falls in the coming months.
