The 2019 Big Ten Media Days are under way and are being held in Chicago on Thursday and Friday. The two-day event is being televised on BTN.

The final head coach to speak on Thursday was first-year man-in-charge Ryan Day. Day talked about his Buckeyes over the course of his session of course, but he also was asked about replacing Urban Meyer:

Day’s right. The amount of wins — and wins that truly meant something — that Meyer achieved during his time at Ohio State are historic. Some — like Day — will call Meyer a legend. Most, though, will call Meyer one of the best college football coaches to ever do it.

Like Day said, you can’t replace him. You can only try to be yourself.

Day will have his first chance to prove himself when the 2019 season begins on Aug. 31 at Ohio Stadium against Florida Atlantic.
