The 2019 Big Ten Media Days are in its second day of existence on Friday and BTN is televising all of the country.
On Thursday, seven teams were featured and the same goes for Friday. Kirk Ferentz was the first coach to speak with the media on Friday and he talked about all things regarding the Hawkeyes. To close his time at the podium, however, he was asked about a looming topic of conversation among all in the college football world: The transfer portal.
Ferentz has brought in a couple of transfers coming into 2019, but his overall thoughts on the matter were shared:

This seems to be a common stance on the matter. We know what the transfer portal is, but how certain players get certain privileges over others still seems to be a mystery.
