B1G, SEC lead the way with 13 candidates on Outland Trophy Watch List

If you’re looking for some of the best linemen in the country, the B1G is a pretty good place to begin your search.

Tuesday, the Football Writers Association of America unveiled its candidates for the Outland Trophy Watch List, presented annually to the best interior lineman. It can be won by an offensive or defensive lineman.

With 13 players on the watch list, the B1G tied the SEC for most candidates to make the cut. In total, 83 linemen made the list.

Below are the 13 B1G linemen to be mentioned with the preseason honor:

  • Tyler Biadasz, OC — Wisconsin
  • Ben Bredeson, OG — Michigan
  • Coy Cronk, OT — Indiana
  • Alaric Jackson, OT — Iowa
  • Thayer Munford, OT — Ohio State
  • Lorenzo Neal, DT — Purdue
  • Michael Onwenu, OG — Michigan
  • Cesar Ruiz, OC — Michigan
  • Jon Runyan, OT — Michigan
  • Rashawn Slater, OT — Northwestern
  • Raequan Williams, DT — Michigan State
  • Robert Windsor, DT — Penn State
  • Tristan Wirfs, OT — Iowa
