Fans won’t have much time to debate the preseason rankings before the start of the college football season this year.
The Associated Press announced on Sunday that it will release its first poll of the 2019 season on Monday, Aug. 19 at noon ET. That date comes just a few days before Week 0 officially begins the year.
OK, fans! The preseason AP Top 25 college football poll will be released at noon Eastern on Aug. 19.
The preseason All-America team will be released 24 hours later.

Miami (FL) and Florida will start the year with a head-to-head meeting in Orlando at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN on Saturday, Aug. 21. The weekend ends with an Arizona-Hawai’i matchup, with kickoff scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET. That game will air on CBSSN.
Official rankings may not be released for a few weeks, but we already know which teams will occupy the top two spots: Clemson and Alabama. How the rest of the poll shakes out should be interesting, as well.
