LOOK: Florida State takes another loss on social media

Give Florida State some credit, it certainly knows how to draw attention to its social media account. It’s just not the kind of attention it had hoped to receive.

Florida State’s Twitter account was made famous earlier this offseason on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to celebrate Dr. King and his role in the Civil Rights Movement. And while most schools tweeted out something similar, Florida State used an image of Dr. King appearing to replicate the Tomahawk Chop to promote the football program.

It didn’t go over well.

This most recent flub isn’t drawing nearly as much negative attention, but it still leaves folks scratching their heads.

Florida State’s season opener is 33 days away, but posted an image of the number 4, as well as the jersey No. 15. Some have suggested that it’s only four days until the Seminoles begin fall camp, but why have the No. 15 involved at all? It’s just confusing.

Perhaps we’d be willing to give FSU a pass if this was a one-time incident. Considering the kind of offseason the program has had, it’s just another fail in an offseason full of them.
