Illinois’ push to add size and talent to the offensive line is paying off.
Wednesday, the Illini received a verbal commitment from 6-foot-7, 300-pound offensive tackle Blaise Sparks. The three-star lineman is a native of Fort Myers, Florida and is the seventh player to commit to the program in the 2020 cycle.
Sparks is the third offensive tackle to join this recruiting class, all of which have committed in the last 10 days. Phifer Griffin and Kevin Tyler or the other two recent pledges.
