WATCH: Stevie Scott expecting ‘explosive plays’ out of Indiana’s offense this season

At least one player is confident in what Indiana’s offense is bringing to the table in 2019.

Running back Stevie Scott is gearing up for his second season with the Hoosiers after a blistering freshman season. He set the Hoosiers’ freshman rushing record with 1,137 yards and tallied 10 TDs in 2018.

Though Scott was an electric part of Indiana’s offense, the unit as a whole managed just 26.4 points per game in 2018. In order to improve on that total, Scott knows the offense needs more explosive plays.

Fortunately, he thinks the offense is ready and capable of doing just that:

“Explosive plays,” Scott explained. “I feel explosive plays are what we definitely need from the offense, and I feel going into this season, that will be one thing that we’ll be doing.”

Indiana’s offense is also returning starting QB Peyton Ramsey, but head coach Tom Allen has indicated it will be a true battle in fall camp. Regardless of who wins the job, at least they will have a talented back to help fuel the offense.
