The first black stripe of Ohio State’s fall camp has been removed

Urban Meyer may no longer be the head coach at Ohio State, but the black stripe tradition continues under Ryan Day in Columbus. And the first one of fall camp has been removed.

On Tuesday, the team announced that graduate transfer lineman Jonah Jackson has become the first player to lose his black stripe this fall. It took him just one practice for it to be removed.

Jackson decided to transfer to Ohio State during the offseason, after spending four seasons at Rutgers. He was an All-B1G honorable mention last fall.

The Buckeyes shared a video on Jackson’s accomplishment:

Jackson started in 16 games over the last two seasons at Rutgers and was considered to be one of the top linemen for the Scarlet Knights. He brings good size, experience and talent to the offensive line in Columbus.

Jackson should have a big role on Ohio State’s front line this fall.
