CFB fans vote Jonathan Taylor for major preseason honor

It’s early August, and later this month, the 2019 college football regular season will begin.
We’ve been waiting literally all year for this and the time has nearly come. Before any official games are played, however, preseason watch lists and predictions are made by anyone and everyone.
Speaking of everyone, college football fans — no matter who you are — had the chance to vote on who is the preseason player of the year. The winner?

The writers didn’t choose Taylor. The media as a whole didn’t choose Taylor. Coaches didn’t, either.
Fans did. You did. The offensive player of the year, as decided by the majority of college football fans, comes from Madison.
It’s not a crazy pick, either. Taylor may not have the same appeal as Alabama or Clemson’s quarterbacks. But Taylor has obviously stood out in some way.
Over his first two seasons as a Badger, Taylor has rushed for 4,171 yards and 29 TDs.
That’s efficiency, folks.
