Former Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett may not be with the New Orleans Saints any longer, but he has found a new home in the NFL.
Saturday, the Seattle Seahawks announced they have signed Barrett to the team. This will be the second season for Barrett attempting to make a roster.
Barrett was signed by the Seahawks because of an injury to Geno Smith. He is expected to be sidelined for a week, or potentially longer.

Last year, Barrett signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent. He spent most of the 2018 season as a member of the team’s practice squad. He was waived by the franchise earlier in August.
In his final season at Ohio State, Barrett started all 14 games in 2017, throwing for 3,053 yards and 35 touchdowns. He also racked up 798 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground, leading the Buckeyes to a B1G title.
