NFL training camps are going on everywhere this time of year as the preseason is under way.
For some teams, they have gotten to play twice already. As for the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots, they have only played once. This week, ahead of their game against each other on Saturday, Aug. 17, the two teams decided to have joint practices with each other.
This meant that players from both sides got to scrimmage against each other and do some drill work. This also meant that former Michigan Wolverine offensive tackle Taylor Lewan — currently a member of the Titans — got to meet “the greatest football player of all time” according to himself:
“Well actually, he came and spoke to us,” Lewan said. “It was my senior year right before the season started at Michigan. He came and did like a 25-minute speech to the point where you’re just ready to run through a wall for him. He kind of walks in as an unsuspecting dude. Not puffing his chest. No ego. So I never got the chance to meet him at that point. Just talking to him was awesome. The greatest football player of all-time. Very cool.”
Here are the two coming face-to-face, greeting each other with a “Go Blue.”

Even for Lewan, an established, phenomenal OL in the NFL, this is a pretty cool moment that he won’t forget.
