It comes as no surprise, but rookie defensive lineman Kevin Givens is starting to turn heads in his first NFL preseason.

The former defensive lineman with the Nittany Lions went undrafted in this year’s NFL Draft after a successful collegiate career. He finished with 83 total tackles, 22 tackles for loss, and 13.5 sacks while serving as an anchor for much of his career.

Givens was picked up by the San Francisco 49ers after the draft, and he is picking up steam in the preseason. NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger broke down his recent performance against the Denver Broncos, and he had nothing but high marks for Givens:

“Their best defensive lineman was an undrafted free agent named Kevin Givens from Penn State,” said Baldinger. “He just kept showing up…He has got a penetrating style that is just disruptive.”
