Indiana is in Indianapolis preparing for the season opener on August 31, and the Hoosiers enlisted the help of a former Colts specialist for an incredible scholarship announcement.

Indiana was practicing in Lucas Oil Stadium Thursday as part of the preparation for the season opener against Ball State. The two teams will be playing in the Colts’ stadium for the opener, and the Hoosiers used it as the perfect time for a special scholarship announcement.

The team broadcasted a video of long-time Colts punter Pat McAfee on the video board as the special teams unit was getting set for a practice kickoff. The video halted practice as players turned to see what was going on.

In the end, McAfee shared the announcement that junior kicker Nathanael Snyder is now on a full scholarship. Needless to say, it is really awesome:

Kickoff for the opener against Ball State is set for August 31 at 12 pm EST on the CBS Sports Network.
