With the NFL preseason winding down and the regular season quickly approaching, teams are beginning to see their starting rotations take shape. And as a rookie, a former Ohio State offensive lineman has reportedly already won a job.

According to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, former Buckeye offensive lineman Michael Jordan has won the starting job at left guard for the Cincinnati Bengals. Not a bad start to his professional career.

Jordan was a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He was a highly-touted lineman out of Ohio State, after appearing in 41 straight games for the Buckeyes between 2016 and 2018.

He earned first-team All-America honors from CBS Sports and Sports Illustrated for his role in Ohio State’s 13-1 season in 2018. The 6-foot-6, 315-pound lineman was versatile along the front line through his college career and certainly has the size to perform well in the NFL.

The Bengals will open the season on Sunday, Sept. 8 against the Seattle Seahawks on the road. The first home game will be on Sunday, Sept. 15 against the San Francisco 49ers.
