The 2019 football season is officially under way already.

That’s only for a few schools, though. The vast majority of teams get started this weekend. At Maryland, the Terrapins a part of the latter. The Terps start their season at noon ET on Saturday, Aug. 31 at home against Howard.

Who will the starting QB be?

Maryland announced that on Monday:

In 2018, Tyrrell Pigrome threw 67 passes and completed 37 passes. He’s back. However, Maryland brought in Josh Jackson — a QB transfer from Virginia Tech — who has won the starting job for Week 1.

Jackson threw for 2,991 yards while tossing 20 TD to 9 INT back in 2017. A year ago for the Hokies, he only got to play in three games due to injuries, but he still had 5 passing TD compared to one INT.
