A new era of Maryland football officially gets underway on Saturday.
The Terrapins will host Howard in the season opener on Saturday in College Park, the first game with Mike Locksley as the permanent head coach. Maryland is a huge favorite in the game, with a 30-point spread in its favor to start the year 1-0.
On Thursday, just two days from kickoff, Maryland revealed the uniform combination it will sport for the Week 1 matchup. It’s become a tradition for the Terps to show off the thread combo before every game of the season.

It looks like the Terrapins will keep things pretty simple this week, going with their traditional state flag helmet, red shirt and white pants.
Maryland will kick things off against Howard at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday. The game will air on Big Ten Network.
