Maryland is just about ready to kick off its first season under head coach Mike Locksley.

Locksley takes over for the Terrapins after what was one of the most tumultuous seasons in program history. The team finished 5-7 under interim coach Matt Canada in 2018 before Locksley was hired for the permanent position.

Maryland has already added a number of recruits and transfers to the team, including starting quarterback Josh Jackson who transferred from Virginia Tech. Some growing pains are to be expected in Year 1, but expectations will be high that Locksley can produce solid results.

As the team gets set for Saturday’s season opener, Maryland Football dropped an intense hype video on Friday. It features some of the current members and some historic clips of the Terrapins.

This is the perfect way to get ready for kickoff:

Saturday’s kickoff against Howard is set for 12 pm EST on BTN.
