Michigan moves up in College Football Playoff poll

Michigan continued its climb.
Following the Wolverines victory at Penn State, they moved up once again in the College Football Playoff poll. The selection committee slotted Michigan at No. 10 behind three B1G teams, which marked the first time all season four teams in the conference were put in the top 10.
Michigan State’s victory against Ohio State meant that the Buckeyes wouldn’t be a top-four team for the showdown in Ann Arbor on Saturday.
Iowa came in at No. 4 while MSU moved up to No. 5 and OSU fell to No. 8.
Michigan still has an outside chance to make the B1G Championship, but it would need to beat Ohio State and have MSU fall to Penn State in East Lansing on Saturday.
The Wolverines can earn their first win against a top-25 team since they shut out Northwestern seven weeks ago. The Wildcats moved up to No. 16.
Kickoff for Saturday’s regular-season finale in Ann Arbor is set for 12 p.m. ET.
