Urban Meyer has a wealth of football knowledge, and with him leaving the Ohio State football program just eight months ago, he possesses an insider’s knowledge of the Buckeyes offense.
Now in broadcasting, prior to Ohio State facing Florida Atlantic on Saturday, Meyer explained how the run-pass option works in college football. Even Meyer’s biggest critics have to admit he did a great job of teaching the spread and RPO on the Fox Sports college football pregame show.
As it turns out, the plays Meyer laid out were some of the exact ones Ohio State ran against FAU in the first quarter. Check out this spliced Twitter clip:

For Meyer’s complete explanation of how the spread offense began and the RPO, check out this other clip. It was highly informative without being condescending for any college football fan.
