Stanley’s fourth touchdown pass of the season, it is the 56th of his Iowa career. A three-year starter, Stanley has thrown 26 touchdown passes in each of the last two seasons, one behind Chuck Long’s program record of 27.

This marks back-to-back games with a touchdown reception for Smith-Marsette. He caught four passes for 35 yards and a score in the season-opening win over Miami (OH). A product of Weequahic High School in Newark, Smith-Marsette played his high school football about 40 minutes northeast of the Rutgers campus.
