College football is the best sport of them all.
One reason why is the traditions. There are plenty of long-lasting traditions that make the sport what it is. But, there are also traditions that are fairly new that are second-to-none. Take Iowa’s “Wave” tradition for example.

One tradition that has caught on the last few years is a sort of “turnover” tradition. At Miami (FL), for example, the Hurricanes have the turnover chain. Say what you will about it, but they are certainly proud of it.
At Akron, apparently, they have a turnover pencil.
