America was watching.
No. 7 Michigan was hosting Army, a team that a season ago went 11-2 and pushed Oklahoma into overtime and lost. Army proved then that it was a legitimate football team and in the latest AP top 25 poll, Army got the 31st most votes in the country, sitting just outside the top 25.
Wolverine fans didn’t care about that, though. Going into halftime down 14-7, the fans were booing.

The game against Army was tight throughout, but thanks to a strip sack in the second overtime, the Wolverines outlasted the Black Knights 24-21.

Both Kwity Paye and Aidan Hutchinson got in on the action, allowing Josh Uche to recover the football and effectively end the game.
