Remember how poorly Nebraska’s offense played last week against South Alabama? That’s not the case this week. Well, at least after a series in the first quarter.
Nebraska is coming out of the gate hot in Boulder, trying to flex its muscle early in a rivalry game against Colorado. And it didn’t take long for the Huskers to draw first blood.
Adrian Martinez was able to find a wide open JD Spielman deep down the field midway through the opening quarter, and Spielman was able to put a move on the Colorado defender and trotted into the end zone. The score gave Nebraska an early 7-0 lead on the road.
It goes down as a 65-yard scoring strike.

Last week, Nebraska’s offense accounted for just two touchdowns in a 35-21 win over South Alabama. Yes, it’s still early, but the Huskers already look much better on that side of the football.
We’ll see if it continues throughout the game this week.
