The annual battle for the Cy-Hawk Trophy will also be the host of College GameDay, according to a report.
On Saturday night, Randy Peterson of the Des Moines Register reported that the popular pregame show will be headed to Ames for the showdown between Iowa and Iowa State next Saturday. Both teams are currently ranked in the Associated Press top 25.
Iowa State was a winner over Northern Iowa in Week 1, a close 29-26 contest that was decided in three overtimes. Iowa is 2-0, defeating Miami (OH) and Rutgers in the first two weekends of the year.

Iowa leads the all-time series 44-22 and has won the last four meetings, as well as five of the last six contests.
Next weekend’s game between Iowa and Iowa State in Ames is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.
